Open Question: Why is hypocrisy considered relevant in religion?

There've been recent posts trying to expose religion for it's hypocrisies, but why is hypocrisy in religion anymore relevant than hypocrisy in politics or state/city laws? "All lollipops are banned" - state of Washington law "It is illegal to pretend that one’s parents are rich" - state of Washington law "A door on a car may not be left open longer than is necessary" - state of Oregon law "Dishes must drip dry" - state of Oregon law "Pedestrians crossing the highways at night must wear tail lights" - state of Kansas law "It is illegal to spit on a sidewalk" - Dodge City, Kansas And in regards to the hypocrisy found in lack of dedication to any religion.. 1. What of guitarists whole only read tab 2. What of Yankees fans who only like the 1927 yankees, but not the entire history of the franchise 3.
